Tuesday Night New Music, February 24, 2015

February 23, 2015 – Boston, MA – Composers at the New England Conservatory of Music will showcase recent works this coming Tuesday, in Williams Hall at 8:00 PM. Featuring several chamber works, this concert will highlight composers from both the Undergraduate and Graduate programs at NEC, and the pieces presented will be performed by New England Conservatory instrumental students. Featured composers include Danielle Rabinowitz, Ana Lopez-Reyes, Shiuan Chang, Yeeray Low, and Joshua Mastel.

Tuesday Night New Music is a student-run, faculty-supervised concert series that offers the opportunity to hear music by the next generation of composers: current New England Conservatory composition students. The series is directed by Stephanie Ann Boyd and Benjamin Park under the supervision of composition chair Michael Gandolfi. Founded by Lee Hyla in the early 90s, Tuesday Night New Music is funded in part this season by a grant from the New England Conservatory Entrepreneurial Musicianship Department.

This season will also see a year-long collaboration with visual artists studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. This month’s featured artist is Cleo Murphy-Guerette
